Sinusritis after back from US
September 23rd, 2008 by ALVIN SOONG
I had an allergy from sinus a year ago that worsened and discovered when I got back from US recently. One year of medication did not stop the allergy.
I went to see a GP doctor who then recommended me to a specialist in MT Elizabeth. I was hospitalised on 18th Sept to stay in Mt Elizabeth overnight. He recommended to do the following after he put the scope and did a CT Scan (by the way I was told CT scan has 50x radiation to x-ray):
1. Sleep Apnea test (because I have sleepless nights from difficulty in breathing and chattering of teeth, and may be linked to Sinus Allergy)
2. Allergy Test.
He recommended the following treatments:
1. Ballonritis, an endoscopy treatment
2. Sinusritis Treatment
3. Immunotherapy for 3-5 yrs
I would be looking into those areas the next few days.
