Lessons on staffing by Andrea De Cruz

Andrea De Cruz, the actress celebrity in Singapore turned businesswoman after her liver transplant (over the slimming pills consumption which she also endorsed) from now husband Pierre Png. Now she opened a chic hair spa called Cinq. Here she shared on her experience in staffing.

As a businesswoman, she learned to be shrewd, and to smile at people when it comes to business. She mentioned “You got to put your foot down and that there are ways to get things done. “ One has to hardened the heart when it comes to staffing because you may have people who are not as dedicated to business as you like them to be, and you put in the time but expect the same from them. They don’t perform and you had to let them go as they are not good for business. Perhaps they might have their own issues in life to handle but work is work.

While it is important for us to be humane and understanding it is important for us to know also efficiency in our business. As an employee if we know the thought process of our bosses in this manner, then perhaps we should also buck up to bring up that standards.
