Social Networking: pro and con at work
June 24th, 2008 by ALVIN SOONG
Just a tip break from usual investment, insurance and health matters….
While reading the Edge, I read something interesting on social networking sites. In workforce, social networking is good time/cost saver for getting leads and contacts.
Many workers use it also for e-break, claiming a break of 10mins or so every hr of breaktime. However the recent US survey shows an average worker would spend about 2hrs every day on social networking sites such as facebook, myspace.com.
Does it save time or waste time at work? Manager may have to weigh that in proportions.
