If pre-existing medical conditions have not be properly disclosed in the application, we will not admit any claims for that conditions on grounds of non-disclosure and reserve the right to endorse exclusions or cancel the policy for non disclosure.

If conditions are properly disclosed in the application and we wish to impose exclusions on
pre-existing conditions, we will inform the policyholder first and only if they are agreeable to the
exclusions will we issue the policy.

If the conditions have been properly disclosed and we do not impose exclusions, the policyholder is covered for that condition under the policy.

If the conditions fall under one of the standard exclusion, it will continue to apply even if it was
declared in the proposal form and accepted by us.

Policyholders who are currently covered under Basic Medishield without any exclusion will continue to enjoy their Basic Medishield cover in full when they switch over to Incomeshield, and even if exclusions are imposed under the Incomeshield Policy.
