Key Speakers:
1. Dr Tay Sook Muay is a senior consultant anaesthesiologist at the Singapore General Hospital; with special interest and training in Liver Transplantation anaesthesiology and Burns Intensive Care Medicine. She is a Senior Clinical Lecturer with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, a member in the Medical Education Unit, a facilitator in Problem-based Learning, Team-based Learning. She also instructs in the ACLS and Fundamental Critical Care Support courses. Dr Tay helped to successfully organize “An Experential Workshop in Problem Based Learning 2004″ which received local and regional participation. Dr Tay moderated in the 2nd Asia Pacific Medical Education Meeting 2004 and also the Student Medical Education Conference 2005. She also sat in the PGMI Medical Pedagogy Committee from 2004-7 in Singapore General Hospital. Dr Tay contributed as a faculty member in the Harvard Medical Institute course 2005 and was the educational chair in the Annual Scientific Meeting Singapore General Hospital 2006. She is also a trained facilitator in “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”.

Dr Tay has also published in various peer reviewed journals, co-authored “Anaesthesia for Emergency Surgery” in Surgical Handbook, World Scientific Publishing 2004. Dr Tay also has special educational interest in areas that include leadership, governance and change, preventive health and problem based, team-based learning. Dr Tay received her MBBS degree from the National University of Singapore, her postgraduate degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and her Masters in Education from the Monash University, Australia.
