Some unknown facts of Travel Insurance. You must read this before travelling

I bought travel insurance on my trip to US. As a group basis, I was able to get good discounts. Do you know: Travel insurance can help in safeguarding against luggage loss, theft, fire and emergencies in overseas. Also, it safeguards against any last minute changes to reimburse back your air tickets or to help you claim back if you lose your belongings.
I have a client who bought travel insurance. Last minute because the child is sick, they had to cancel the trip and airfare tickets. On normal circumstances, if the travel agency defaults on the tavel tickets or if the deposits had been paid for the airfares/air travel tickets, it would have been non-refundable. After I appeal with our company NTUC INCOME, they got the claims and deposits back! So claiming back the deposits, even if air tickets companies default it, is possible.
Another client, insured with travel insurance, lost his belongings in overseas at Batam. There was no police there. We ask them to make a report in SIngapore when they arrive. With the Singapore Police report, they claimed back their monetary worth of $1,218 too! Always get a police report when claiming a travel insurance claims.

Get a police case number when you report to the police. This number is very important.
