Symptoms and Diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis

The symptoms due to the occurrence of multiple sclerosis are variable ones. It depends on the extent of affection and the place of affection.
Yeah… If the brain cells are disturbed, then more noticeable signs may be evident in the affected persons. Some persons may get life long confinement in wheel chair because of this affection.
Many times, optic neuritis occurs in the affected persons.
Hence, the patients undergo the painful loss of vision or blurred vision or double vision. .
Areas around the eyes may be painful and hence, moving of eyes itself becomes more painful for the patient.
Some times, the cup will be lost during the grasping activities. Straining is noticed during the defecation and urination. Symptoms get worsened after exercise or bathing in hot water.
The MRI helps to diagnose this problem to some extent.
Biopsy of nervous tissues may help in the diagnosis of the problem since demyelination can be found out during the histological investigations.
However, most of the times, during the accidental autopsy, one finds out this problem in the brain tissue itself. Hence, diagnosis is some what difficult for this disease.
